I still have a Palm III (xe) and it does everything I need it to. It has a calendar, it has a notepad feature, and it has my complete address book. Best of all, I bought it off eBay for about $30 to replace my old IIIx when it was stolen. I don't play any games on it (except for Pocket Monkey occasionally) so it works out great for me. My biggest problem is, my pockets begin filling up more quickly now with a Palm Pilot shoved into one pocket and my GP32 crammed into another.

If you want to play games buy a GP32 console, if you want to run "Windows" apps then buy a pocket PC.

Get a GP32 for games, then go to a computer liquidators and get an old Palm III for $20 to fulfill all your PDA needs.

I say, if you have the money just go for the palm. They ARE good for games. I played on a palm a few days ago that had a dpad and two buttons just for games. And if you REALLY have money you can get both :D
