Do all consoles come from Japan? No: The TV-producer Michael Mrozek from Ingolstadt is behind a new, portable console, for sale soon in a limited batch. The kicker: Whoever wants and is able, can program games for the device.

Michael Mrozek is an a busy man in the media-world of Ingolstadt: The 32-year old media designer has, for example, with his team [gah, don't know this]

As a TV-producer, Mrozek had been given multiple awards, among which the local-tv award of Bayern. But only a few people know the media designer as EvilDragon, whom is known on the internet for his great love for computergames and consoles.

I'm sorry, I'll have to leave this to someone more capable and with more time. I should sleep.

I noticed the mistake on the article: the first batch is of course 4000 units but it looks like you need to register to post a comment...

The part that you don't know is actually "made a successful career in porn".

A little something from the latest TI newsletter. Not a media report of course, but worth a mention.

A great source for open source

Interested in open-source projects featuring TI technology, like the Beagleboard, Leopardboard and Pandora? To learn more about ongoing projects, videos and to discuss open source in general, check out designsomething.org today.

OHH wow! This website is very good on what its trying to accomplish but its still missing lots of features, for example a forum.
I think it has a chance to grow. Gruso, is there any other website that you know that has an open source community thats good?

Not the individual websites.

A very thorough review of the Pandora by crasherball.
Two failings I'd note in an otherwise good article: Doom 3 may be a theoretical possibility, but it's not a sure thing yet, and should not be listed as such; and overclocking the OMAP won't cause it to shut off if it overheats, it just becomes unstable and crashes when clocked too high. An ARM shouldn't get too hot even when overclocked. A PC, by comparison, does need to monitor the temperature and shut down if it gets too hot, lest it burn itself out.
Also, overclocking does do some damage to the OMAP as well, but it's not really possible that you'll notice it in the life of the console.

Engadget picks up on the Android video: http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/01/android-ported-to-pandora-in-the-name-of-science-or-something/

I don't usually bump threads.
But thought it worth reminding people that this is here, as I'm sure that coverage will start to pick up again soon enough.
