Sorry if this has been rehashed in other historic threads, but I guess EvilDragon never got a response from Pixel, over porting to the Pandora, or was it a definite no answer from him? Thanks.
For what I know, he just dont reply to email.

Well, I think that optimizing the music generating code makes the most sense. Hopefully someone decides to do it.

Hi sebt3 !

Thanks for this updated version, seems to work better, even @ 500MHz :)

Still a little slow, but gameplay is no longer affected IMO.

What did you change from the previous PND ?

Bye and thanks again for your work :)

Magic Sam

p.s: I'm now in Sand Zone, what a great game !!!

Updated the PND with some more performaances tweaks.

The music generation is out of the way thanks too SDL_threads ;)

It's still a bit sluggish but I have no more idea to speed this up

EDIT : sources are here.

Sorry mate, but that's even worse on my pandora - previously it was just a slow framerate (with the game moving at the correct speed), now it's jerking quite badly about 4 times/sec.

Here are some things to try:

1. Restart the Pandora.
2. Make sure that nothing's open when running it.
3. Set the CPU Speed to 500 MHz.

Anyone having audio pausing/skipping? Because I am. If so, please explain so sebt3 can fix it. Thanks.

Audio is smooth, but video and control reponse freezes as I said. This is running at 900MHz. At 500MHz it's worse.

Using lastest PND from the repo ?
'cause I'm nearly reaching Desktop speed at 800Mhz by my benchs.

If this is the one where you multi-threaded the sound code, then yes. If not, I'll re-download.
