Pandora wiki open for business. You can help.

Would if i could. Uploading images is broken, along with pretty much every advanced function there is. Need new mediawiki version.

I went with "Boot setup"  had a go at organizing Formatting SD cards, will try to clean it up a bit.

I'd argue that the section on populating the card with an OS belongs more on the Boot setup page than it does on Formatting SD cards.  You can put anything on your cards after formatting them for use on Pandora - music, movies, PNDs or a couple of OSes.  Wheras there's only any point setting up a boot.txt after you've installed an OS to the card.

I'd fix it myself, but it's late.  Perhaps tomorrow.

Excellent point! Done. I have been raging over the boot info ever since i first saw it. Its semi-workable now.

Edit: There should be something on getting to the console of uBoot, i bet thats somewhere deep down in hardware hacking. Edit2: nope

Yeah, go for it. It's not like there's any relevant information on there now you've done the port.

I suppose we could add a section of 'completed ports', but that page strikes me as being rather out of date. As far as I can tell, many of the entries in there were pulled from discussion threads and written up there, so the original raiser may not even be aware of that wiki page, so are unlikely to go back there to look for the software they requested.

Yeah, I think some visual feedback that there was a request and it has been fulthfilled is important. green, strike, I don't know and don't have an hint of what's better, but something yes, I don't like to simply delete: "pouf" no more request, it was never here....

Hum, you did your change at the same time as mine it seems. It had done it for UFO:AI but my changes disapeared? What I've done wrong? Isn't this tool suposed to be multiuser?

*EDIT* my fault, didn't noticed it asked for the password because I added external link.

So I've done UFO:AI.

Unless someone scream, I'll do my other the same way.

Hmm, that's a point. I replaced the link to the project homepage with the link to the repo, rationalising that since the repo pointed onwards to the project homepage anyway nothing was lost, but looking at the table again that column is headed 'link to source', so I guess what you've done is more correct - the repo link shouldn't go in that column.

Shame, as it would be nice if the repo link was more prominent.

I didn't touched the original "source" link, I didn't want to lose this information, and added sources link to the port on the comment section. Because it's just a port, it's not suposed to replace the original...

They are still there:

http://pandorawiki.org/index.php/Software_projects/OS/Slackware

http://pandorawiki.org/index.php/Software_projects/OS/SOLEIL

We need to find a proper solution here.

MediaWiki changed their URL scheme a few versions ago. You should NOT use URLs like http://pandorawiki.org/PageName anymore - because it could lead to issues with pages like robots.txt.

Therefore, they use http://pandorawiki.org/index.php/PageName

All our links are in the old format though, so I need to work on some redirects and .htaccess.

Okay, fixed it via .htaccess now.

I guess there's not really a better solution, as MediaWiki doesn't offer the possibility to update all links.

Ok, thanks.

So next SL4P version update should be php-thing ?

http://pandorawiki.org/Special:SpecialPages is broken, think thats due to php memory usage or incopatibility with a extention. No biggie.

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Short_URL

/wiki/Article style urls like Wikipedia does and so they install their wiki at /{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/wiki/ this is incorrect. Wikis that use /wiki/Article style urls have their MediaWiki installation setup at /{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/w/ or /{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/ and setup short urls for /wiki/Article.

Yahyahyah, anyways, this is the issue:

Upload of images still broken, http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Thread:project:Support_desk/Trouble_uploading_after_installation

chown the image file library to apache and possibly a change of permissions supposedly takes care of that.

Edit: Removed borders, some redundant formatting and fixed the expand-jumping.

I gave it a splash of the gay, hope that lowers the threshold on entry.

Now if we could get the FZERO icons and eki's glorious silver panda up it would look semi presentable.

Edit2: Look at difference between the old and the new

Saved heaps of vertical space. :) ))))
