Depends on what your definition of "almost" and "top range" is.

Also, we had enough threads with SONY bashing already, did you have to make a new one <_< ?

Yes. because this directly affects people in the UK.
There are a lot of UK forumers here so this will probably make up many peoples minds.

Like you don't think it isn't going to go down loads within months. Do I need to remember remind everyone that the PS2 was £350?

EDIT: Remember? what the fuck?

Also, I'll be having a Wii first (I'll need one), but then proceed to getting a ps3 as soon as there is a good game/I can afford it

If by "within months" you mean "more than 12 months", then yeah, sure it will go down.
IIrc it dropped to £190 in about 3-4 months.

Wiiiiiiiiiiii! :)

Maybe the PS3 a year or 6 months after release, depending on available games & price, but definitely not sooner than that.

If it comes with linux, and is more powerful than my desktop. I'm getting one.

 now if they had only not taken those 2 usb and 3 network ports off the back

I want a Wii.
I need a Wii.
I will have a Wii.
Wii owe it to ourselves to have a Wii.
You will not be able to game comfortably unless you have a Wii.

With all that being said... I simply don't have that silly sum of cash to get a PS3. The only games that appeal to me on it are Final Fantasy and MGS... so not exactly going to be worth parting with my cash...

Considering the fact that people paid $1000 for X360 at eBay last year and similar money for PS2 back in 2000, I doubt $600 is an issue at all. All those whining won't buy PS3 any way any time soon, those who're buying will pay any kind of money. I'm one of the laters and I don't see $600 being a problem to me, hack, I've got $500 cd player that just plays CDs. :p

Some people just need to have all the latest gadgets.

Some people just need to have all the most expensive gadgets.

And some people just like to experiment to see how quickly that can spend all there money.

The rest of the people are normal ;)
