Still Plans For Webcam Feeds?

Normally Michael was going to arrive at 04:30 of Wednesday... this means that he should be already getting prepared to be in the airport, if not there already.... Is he arriving to Heathrow? Just checked the website, no big disruptions there... Now that I think about it, with the time of arrival we should be able to track the fight and see its schedule...

Well, if he is arriving at 4:30 AM on Wednesday, and it is currently 2:40 PM on Tuesday... I'm not sure I follow your post.

Yeah, Germany isn't THAT far from the UK. He probably won't have to be to the airport until later in the evening. But this intense tracking is just getting ridiculous. Chill out. :p

Michael in this case is MWeston, who is coming from Manitoba (Canada). A cursory glance shows that it's a 12 to 20 hours flight (depending on layover). Assuming he's managed the minimum layover, to arrive at 4:30am (GMT), he would have to leave at 4:30pm (GMT), which means he should be boarding in no less than 2 hours. If he's not already at the airport ready to check in (international flights can be a pain) he may be too late.
Of course it's not likely he did get such a direct flight, so odds are he's already in the air, or possibly waiting for a connection in Toronto. If I knew for certain where he was, I'd swing by and say hello.

Actually, have we MWeston tracking number yet? I mean, live tracking would be awesome. ;-)

Star tracking would be even better

Bah! Because we were talking about Craig's place and he mentioned Heathrow, I thought he was asking if Craig would already be at the airport... lol. Note though, he lives in Regina which is in Saskatchewan, not Manitoba.

Dang it, I did it again! This is the third time that I for some reason thought he lives in Manitoba. I know he lives in Regina, why do I keep getting confused?
No matter, the point still stands: MWeston should be in the air right now (or waiting at a layover) right now if he's to make it to London for 4:30am tomorrow.

I know, I was the one who told you at least once before :p. I also checked the flights. Yes, even the shortest flight between the two locations would have him having left already. He's going to feel like a turd when he gets there; I've done a few of these long hauls, they suck the big one.

Am I the only one who thinks that watching device assembly over a webcam would be _Seriously boring_ :)

It'd be like watching people type (When you can't see their monitor.)

I mean, fascinating for a few minutews as you watch the first Pandora's roll out (and they call out whose name they're shippoing to, just to spite you), but after the first few... 3995 of the same?

Or maybe you're expecting some serious antics, followed by shenanigans, pillow fights? :)

But far be it form me to be int he way of a good bit of production-porn :)

I suspect that people will crash the feed regardless.

it WOULD be boring yeah .... if it wasnt being done by a team of neked chicks

it is still going to be a team of neked chicks on the production line, right?

Never know what people would get up to with Craig in charge
I'm sure no one intends to watch it like that big brother show 24/7, but then we do have some interesting characters in our community.

I think the webcam feed is a great idea. Plus they have those web services where we can all be in a chat room and talking with them and shiz. Should be dope.

can you imagine the bitch fest that some of the armchair engineers around here would start about the littlest things that they didn't like about how things were being assembled? Maybe a webcam is not such a good idea?

Like not having one will stop them.

Quick someone start a "How to stop the assembly workers picking their nose on the job?" thread.

i think a 24hr feed of our pandoras being built is FAR more interesting to watch than that day one in the big brother house rubbish

maybe Endomol will pay for the webcam and any overheads?:)

Glove Box!

Make the team build the Pandoras in glove boxes, to keep out any nastyness, and so their bogies dont get on the cases

will be more interesting to watch too, like an episode of Crypton Factor
