The port request topic

Wow, I'm a massive fan of Ouendan and I never knew of this site's existance!

I'd consider having a go at porting it if no one else already is, but I don't see any mention of the project being open source... In that case it would be up to the guys behind it if they wanted to create a Pandora version.

How about the original unreal tournament? I know the source code is out. But will it run on the pandora?

Is alien vs predator open source ? can remember reading something about a linux port.

also, are there any CDi emulators that are open source ? always wanted to find out what the fuss was about with voyeur

Alien vs Predator is open source, so hopefully we'll see a port on the Pandora. As for CDi emulators, as far as I know, there is only the cleverly titled CDi Emulator project. As of right now it is closed source and Windows only, but the programmer has spoken of source release as a possibility in the future.

Is a port of Rosegarden possible? It is an open source midi music editor for Linux.

Here's a screenshot:

I love this topic. I do not have pandora, but I have found so many interesting games here. :)

I'm crossing my fingers for a FoF port. especially if we could use it with this!

Good luck devs.

Since this is apparently not only for games ports:

  • FBreader (I'm probably #1,000 requesting this)
  • the Psion EPOC Office Suite (not blooming likely so instead:)
  • SIAG Office http://siag.nu/. I like that O:-||rg will run, but SIAG is small and fast.
  • Is Miro http://www.getmiro.com/ possible? The faq has the following requirements for Linux: "500Mhz CPU with a good video card, 1GHz without, 128MB RAM." How good is Panda's video card?
  • Is there an OSS alternative to ArtRage http://www.ambientdesign.com/? I love this program on my ancient Fujitsu tablet and a similar (possibly taking into account the smaller screen realestate) thing on my Panda would be amazing. Incidentally, kids like ArtRage a gazillion times better than The Gimp.

Sidenotes:

  • Why can't I embed URLs in the text on this forum?
  • The "list=" style is b0rked.

I think a nice port of Step Mania would be nice if we could use a usb ddr pad and the tv-out feature. It would also be fun using the d-pad. It would be like a portable arcade if someone uses on of those generic joypads on a tv. Oh I can't wait for the second batch of pandoras to come!

I've heard good things about cwiid. There's a few different drivers for the Wii remote, the Pandora is sure to get one of them ported as long as the Bluetooth drivers work.
