Why All The Discourse?

Airman, you say? No wonder you're programming a shooter game ;) Did you have to pass those high-G tests?

- Alexu.
Shut up.
You´re blaming soldiers?

The airforce officers are the most responsible fighters in any army, i bet you think every airforce soldier is a
pilot, you have no clue what really happens in a human´s mind in such a situation.

The reason the U.S. are disliked in many nations has actually nothing to do with their warfare.

Take it easy, captain.

First of all my name's not Alexu., why'd you edit that bit?

Shut up.

Did I say I blame soldiers? No, I didn't, but I do now, because without any soldiers there would be no wars.

I see no relation between whether I think that every airman is a pilot and what goes on in someone's mind in "such a situation", said situation you failed to say what is. Calm down, you're making little sense when you're so angry. I actually have a form of admiration for the technical part of the army, which requires more than doing push-ups and pulling the trigger. And yes, you've got me, I have little knowledge about what an airman does, that's why my post was more of a question rather than a statement.

Azalin, what the fuck are you doing opening topics like the genocide one? Are you mentally defective or something, for fuck's sake, "selective genocide"? "Mercy genocide"? Take that trash back to the Slipzone, for the past days these forums had quite a few such shitty topics :(

Told you, it comes with the popularity of the 2x...

Ahem. For your information, i was trying to gather information on people's opinion on the subject. It's an experiment i've been running on several forums, and the information at the end of the experiement will then be used in a term paper i'm writing for social studies. I obviously couldn't say "Hey guys! this is an experiement, i need you to pretend that you don't know that its an experiement!" as i would then not get an unbiased opinion. So thanks for screwing up my experiment! ;) (technically, your insta locking will still be added to the final results, as a +7 to your humanity score, but you still screwed it up).

Why didn't I see this all the time, I remember asking Epicenter if the reason he supports the war in Iraq and Bush is because he had a relative in the war...well he never said he was in the military, wow, well now we know what kind of bullcrap they are feeding the people who defend their country.

Unlike every other country in the world .. where 'they' tell the soldiers the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth

Sory for the misunderstanding Azalin, but you never know when a neo-nazi will come out of the closet... and BAM, there I am:

I don't know about you guys, but prefer the version of history where Japan got nuked and turned into an economic world power and forerunner of many technologies (including those game systems we love to emulate), rather than taken over by the commies and just recently recovering (and unlike China, they would not have to huge population to exploit for cheap labor).

Edit: spelling

Wow, you have no concept of what the US military is like, do you? No one is told what to think, we aren't brainwashed. I enlisted of my own free will and my opinions now are my opinions I held before I enlisted. Hell, I know countries where everyone must serve for a mandatory period in the Army! The only thing I was taught was basic military history involving the US. I was never told what political opinions to hold in any way shape or form. As for the history accounts, I expected it to be a bit skewed, but it wasn't-- it was quite an accurate representation of the facts that matched up well with any other history book I've ever read. I know loads of people in the AF who think Bush is an idiot, and plenty who don't agree with the war in Iraq/Afghanistan-- different people join for different reasons.

You're incredibly presumptuous, and it's causing you to produce some pretty ridiculous statements. First you assume I support the war because I have a relative in Iraq. Then you assume that I must have been brainwashed by the military to believe in it. Also, guess what, I'm not stationed in Iraq, I'm stationed in Japan. You're 0-for-3. Keep it up. :)

No offence intended, but where were the other history books you've read written/published?

It's people like you who send Americans to there deaths everyday. Americans lose limbs and even their mind for you, and you can stand to support this? It's you who doesn't know what you are talking about. Do they tell you that everything is fine in Iraq? Do they tell you that Iraqis get massacred by American soldiers every once in a while? And you were alright with that video of the Irani-American citizen get tased...you fucking bush-voteI wish that you were in Iraq right now, then you'd get caught, tortured, and get your throat slit. Even a carbombing is a deserving death. Then tell me, assuming your survived gunshots and a carbombing, that your support the war.

ONE BILLION - 3, Bitch!

I've never sent anyone to their death. You don't even know what I DO or what my JOB is. What the FUCK is wrong with you? Are you insane or just an idiot? I'm not taking any more part in this conversation. It is worthless. I will NOT have a battle of wits with an unarmed man. When you have some fucking idea what you are even TALKING about we can resume this conversation, but given your complete lack of will to even educate yourself (this is someone who actually believed the Loose Change video until he was confronted with facts, at which point he said 'half of it' was true, ahahahaha) I doubt you ever will learn enough to have a rational logical conversation with anyone about any facet of politics or war.

Usually international accounts, from the US and/or UK. A LOT of stuff from the BBC as far as documentaries go. Revision of history seems to be a reasonably uncommon thing, which is why it's so shocking that Japanese history books gloss over so many things like the atrocities in China or events of WW2 prior to the atomic bombings.

Some things I really expected to be dressed up were the Vietnam war, which as we all know, didn't go very well. There was the chance to win it, but when public opinion waned we just basically gave up, which led to further bloodshed of innocent people. The USAF history accounts we were given didn't turn this into a victory but instead took the positive note of discussing the significant advancements of military technology, particularly aircraft and air weaponry, developed during this era. I didn't detect any manipulation of the facts, which I found admirable.

Honestly, if you can show me an account of WW2 from anywhere in the world besides Japan that stated things happened differently, I'd love to read it. But I've never, ever heard another side of the story besides a conspiracy theory.

See, there you go again. How dare you claim to be Muslim ... and before you spout off with your typical knee-jerk reaction, let me enlighten you;

I used to work in one of the toughest neighborhoods in Brooklyn, USA .. Fort Green (google it). I was the only Caucasian guy in probably a 5 or 10 mile radius, working in one of the most run-down, neglected public housing projects in the city. My partner was a Muslim who used to be in the Black Panther party back in the early '70's. (google it)

He took me under his wing, escorting me around the place so the 'locals' would see that I had backup, and not to mess with me. It was because of his help that I was able to stroll around the projects alone at 3:30 in the morning without a care in the world. I literally owe my life to this man.

He taught me many things² about Islam, one of the first being that it is a religion of peace. Do you remember the first WTC bombings, back in '93? Well he was one of the first ones to admonish the idiots who were responsible. Taking innocent lives, even for a perceived greater good is a sin, and these clowns have reserved for themselves a place in hell for their actions ... even if they were duped by a CIA operative ... true Muslims would not have been swayed.

Seeing as you wish violent harm to befall Epicenter, a person you've never met in person, and has (to the best of our knowledge) murdered no one, perhaps you need to re-adjust your outlook ... or maybe change your religion.

salaam alaikum
² I also liked the 'wipe your ass 3 times' rule ... very sanitary :)
