I was lucky enough to meet the team at Craigix's place. Meeting them I have to say I was absolutely star struck. I don't think I've ever been more nervous. I have my day 1 unit to show for it however. Number 74.

They have had faulty nubs since I got it. Evil Dragon very kindly sent me some in the post for free. 6 years later I am getting around to installing them.

It was a little tricky but going very slowly is the key.

They work lovely now with rev 2.0 nubs

Today is a good day for my Pandora console.

Please feel free to say hi, especially if you remember the hype train of 2 months TM.
I've been quietly enjoying my Pandora ever since. I still love to watch Evil Dragons Pyra videos on YouTube. I think I would really enjoy a Pyra but for now my Pandora does everything I need it for.

I don't think I've ever seen under a nub before. Are those four silver surfaces contacts (although I can't detect any lines going from them, which is odd) or stickers protecting the surface or something else? I always assumed the six solder points were the interface between the nub and the CPU but maybe they're just there for mechanical grip.

Edit: They're versus There versus Their screw-up. Again, damnit.

The red circles line up with dimples on the nub for orientation. Then the 6 black circled pads surrounding the edge of the nub are the solder points. The nub is held into position by these 6 solder points and is also reinforced with the case as is quite a snug fit, not sure if conducts via the solder points or the 4 points underneath.
Post automatically merged:

Edit: underneath the old nub is 4 screws that roughly line up with the 4 pads underneath, but contact would be poor at best so I am going to guess they all ground and the solder points are the data lines plus extra to make sturdy.

Not as such. He started out as a reseller of the gp2x as I recall, and after that peaked he decided to invent (with heavy input from the gp32x boards) the Pandora. He, with lots of help from mweston and davec and fatih and a little help from ED came up with it, then after making a few hundred probably he had some kind of nervous breakdown and turned into a nasty piece of work on these boards. He fell out with almost everyone here and production stalled, then he did some things which might be a little bit scammish, and then ED had to dive in and rescue us all from the mess.

Craig started way earlier, selling GBA flashcarts (and even earlier with porn warez cds :p)

But he was the main distributor of the GP32 in Europe, which is how he came into the whole scene.

Thanks again so much for the nubs.

They work perfect.

I have been looking for a new display cable for my Pandora. Is there anyway you can help please?
