Gngeo2x With Drz80 Support

Pepone, should I give a little pile of cash now and a little pile of cash later when the features I’m after get added to GnGeo2x – or I should I just give you one big pile of cash once the Emu does everything I want? :D

Some things I'm looking for:
+Encrypted Rom Support
+Performance Improvements will come with new version
+Compatible with the [Neo] Mame32 Plus! Rom set (http://www.neomameplus.com.ar/) you have juste to modify the gngeorc
+Pause with uni-bios using START+SELECT
+Save State
+Ability to cut unnecessary files from .zip if gfxdump exist

I think Encrypted Rom Support is near impossible, at least on the gp2x. Decrypting GFX need a lot of memory unfortunatly.

These are the ones that would be nice in the future:

+Performance Improvements
+Pause with uni-bios
+Save State
+integrated interface. Yes you can use one of the "hacks" but you don't get the real time control, and it is not clean and quick to load a program to load another program.
+Ability to cut unnecessary files from .zip if gfxdump exist - this is a good one. After the graphics are dumped the game is HUGE.
+Brightness/gamma control

... how about you donate to show your appreciation for his work, instead of using it as some sort of bribe for features you'd like?!

... there's a word for people like you ....

actually, you can pause if you use the uni-bios...in the quoted statement, the first half ("pause") was dijitao's and the second half was pepone's response. so anyway yes the uni-bios is great.

and i get what you're saying about integrating rage2x but as it stands right now, once you set it up it does become completely integrated. the selector included with gngeo2x exists in a separate binary as well and requires a separate config file. so there's really no difference there. using rage2x, when you exit a game it will return there, so i'd say it's pretty seamless. what i'd really like to see is an option in rage to remove the listings for roms that i don't have.

anyway, great work pepone. and luckily i just got my paypal account working again. unfortunately for you i live in the states and my money isn't worth that much anymore :(

also i have made a logo (view here) that i used to make an icon for myself but if you like it and think you'd have some use for it then i'd be happy to send you the vector file.

I think rage2x is a very good frontend. But I'll certainly add a mini in-game menu for some task like savestate/ Hotkey configuration etc.
Launching will still be done with Selector and Rage2x.

that's not a problem ;)

May be useful for a skin for Selector and the dumping gfx screen :D

Wouldn't it be better to add launching as well? This way you can have everything in one executable nice and clean without all of the separate files and configs. I don't like Rage 2X either. Why do I have to scroll through ROMs that I don't even have? Seems poorly thought out there, plus you have to have all of those extra files around. Selector is ok but it flickers and gives wavy lines on the screen.

That is minor though, the important thing is that the emu itself rocks, thanks.

We'll that's a damn shame - I guess the obvious answer to the problem is more pre-processing. Maybe a single tool that combines the functionality of dumpgfx, the ability to cut the graphics roms, and the ability to decrypt the rom. As long as I can take a directory of zip files and using one command spew forth new zip files ready for use with GnGeo2x, I would be happy.
