Just thought I'd tell everyone, that I've used speech recognition software to make all my posts tonight. I've got carpal tunnel syndrome at the moment from so much typing over the years. It's bloody painful, so I'm making all my posts (and in fact most other things) with speech recognition software at the moment. It makes a few weird mistakes, which can sometimes turn out to be really funny, but for the most part it's actually very good. So, if you see some really weird stuff turning up in my posts, it's more likely to be screwed up speech recognition than an intentional thing.

It's been a godsend in the last few days, and it means my wrists are recovering a hell of a lot faster than they would have done.

A bit of advice, take notice of all that posture information that gets stuck on to the bottom of keyboards and put into the health and safety section of employees handbooks and things like that. You do not, repeat NOT want to suffer from this ever! It's one of those things that people tend to joke about, but it isn't funny when you actually get it.

Anyway, enough of my bad wrists!

Cheers!

Many bears ago i testicles some speech software. It hopefully have gutted batter then wren wren delete when eye last hosed it .

Like I said, every post (including this one) was made using it. The accuracy is supposed to be around 97%. Can't say I argue with it at the moment!

The software is Dragon NaturallySpeaking 7. If you get chance to try it, then I'd definitely recommend a go!

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't use it unless I had to, as it a pain in the arse. At the moment, however, it is a necessity!

Cheers!

Carpel tunnel syndrome is a problem with using the home-key method of typing. I started using a computer so much as a kid that I quickly developed a speedy method of typing where I unconsciously jump my hands around the keyboard. I can type up to 100WPM on a good day. However, I can't use the so-called "ergonomic" keyboards, because I've only memorized the key positions on standard keyboards.

That said, I have never, ever, gotten carpel tunnel syndrome...even during my youth when I would spend all day typing on the computer.
