"Deep" thoughts on Socialism and Capitalism... (Split from retux thread)

If your government is communist, its on you to reelect them, thats the whole point.

Stalin didnt just do one thing throughout his career.

How is not owning land communist?

There are a number of things, most of which point to why you go through hoops of applying a label to something, then ascribing its actions back to the starting point.

The way that St.paul and Minneapolis are set up is the same handful of people get elected every time. They don't need to try. Instead of using the tax money to help communities or what ever bullcrap they claim it usually ends up only helping those who elect them (or fund them ,or personal friends. or friends of friends.) Government hands out are MASSIVE in this region. Its a sanctuary state, it was during the 1930's with gangsters and speak easys and now it is with imported in immigrants/ illegals. Section 8 housing is common, as well as subsidized everything for these underprivileged people who seem to be owning over 3  new cars and having iphones. Where I grew up there was at least 5 houses on the two blocks around my neighborhood that were like this. One of them was also a chop shop for cars that when people called the police they told us to shut up. It wasn't until the FBI came in and shut it down. Turns out they were a ring operating with ties to something in Chicago. (either cars were being chopped up here and sent to Chicago or vice versa)

However that was quickly swept under the rug. We have a family friend who is in the Minneapolis police force, and they've effectively been disarmed and have had a class on "How to love the criminal" and how you can't harm or even arrest them anymore if they're poor,or a minority. Even if they attack you, you can't defend yourself... He's trying his best to find employment else where.

Voting doesn't matter much if the system's rigged. If two wolves and a sheep vote for whats for dinner.. you know the outcome there.

So yes if you want to get in power just give away free stuff to people and get them addicted. In this crappy economy its especially easier. there's fifth generation welfare families living in st.paul and there's even classes in highschool that show girls if they get pregnant and have a baby they can get X amount in welfare and get a free 2 bedroom apartment. Even in the rural schools some of this curriculum is present... my fiancee can testify to that.

People have a wonderful tendency to think that communism/socialism raises the bar up equally. That's not what I have heard from people in Poland or Ukraine, its the opposite in fact.

MN is a massive welfare state. People constantly deny that people don't exploit the system but we have a family friend whose daughter racks in about 150,000$ a year in welfare, and this is very common. There are people who do require help, but the fifth generation welfare family doesn't. Will it serve the politicians best interests to cut off an easy way to power? No. When government and economics mix its always for the benefit of the government at the expense of the people. Even though they think they're having it great getting free things, what's going to happen when it ends? These people are obviously reliant on the government for everything.

People scoff at privatization of services but when the government is the only option, at least in st.paul/minneapolis, the quality goes way down. The water example from earlier is a perfect one, as the cost went up in the cities the quality went down. We saw more rust and other elements present in the water, and some creepy neon orange specs after filtering the water.(turns out that was coming from when GE dumped chemicals into the como park area during the 1940's which was revealed a few years ago was contaminating the water supply. Once again swept under the rug as soon as it appeared.)

Our public education is a joke here. They only teach really what the party wants. Maths aren't a focus, and the schools focus more on getting kids on drugs then actually giving them an education. Every student brings in about 20k a year. if the student is placed on some form of drug the state funding for said student goes up from 20 to 25k or even 30k if they're disabled then federal funding comes into play. And if they're both disabled and are on drugs the income stacks. So while other programs are being cut to bring in more special ed programs.. teachers wages go up, school based activities go down. (Field trips, sports, clubs, vocational classes, music classes,) They also pushed a lot political stuff as well on us. They tell us about certain things in every class. When I was in school it was the light rail and how it was great for the state and us. Or bringing in more immigrants and how its great for jobs.. (when five of us in the class were living in families who were unemployed and couldn't get any help. Nothing beats living off credit cards for 8 months because your income before  the lay offs was so high you don't qualify for any help.) or the racial tension stuff. They loved stirring that pot with the race card.

They also got into economics focusing mainly on how big government will help us. Its funny how they don't focus on writing, spelling, multiplication tables, but intercity busing and poor illegal immigrants and how we need to fund them is a top priority.

My favourite was the healthcare bill. 2008 that was pushed onto us hardcore. How its the greatest thing since sliced bread be sure to tell your parents to vote for it. Only use these news sources, etc, etc. Ask any questions or pose any opposition and you nearly fail the class. Use outside sources (I personally liked to use British sources because they don't care about our joke of a political system. Teachers however weren't amused. They never liked me neutralizing political biases.)

Highschool was all about tests and colleges, and how you had to be A,B,C to get funding.  Classes became less about knowledge and more about how to pass tests to get funding for the school.  I was actually escorted out of a class and told to me face "It doesn't matter none of this applies to you." as they were talking about scholarships and such. Yes I'm white and they told me to my face "It doesn't matter you won't amount to nothing."

I don't care for socialism. I don't care for our leaders, our economy and our flawed system of a government.  Our politicians make it quite obvious we don't matter, and considering how many members of the same families keep on getting into power, it might as well be considered a nobility.

So if I could vote out these maniacs. I would in a heart beat, but when its the same freaking club since the 1970's in power with the same agenda since then there's no real way to. Not when you have people who are basically brain washed into voting democrat no matter what the candidates says.   Nothing says ironic like a  quail hunter who hates black people, smokes a pipe, and always voted democrat because his family raised him to and any other party was the enemy. Brain washed to a T.

So you are the 4th state power, even as a blogger.

Where it loses credibility is how you are comparing this system to "communism/socialism", do you believe that, or are you trying to make me believe in it?

It sounds like you are falling for it, when in actual fact it walks and talks like a regular corrupt cronyist duck.

Not having health-care in 2015 is not a case of being not socialist enough, its just plain behind everyone else.

There are good ways to do things, and then there is failing at them. Failing to do, is not a good option with health care, evidently.

Having next to no unemployment and no health-care is combined only in nations that aren't pleasant to live in.

Saying you "won't amount to nothing" when you are white sounds like things are working out for you..? Sounds implicitly racist if you ask me.
