If the PSX emulator is ready, I'm going to dig up a copy of Silent Hill for my first gaming session. I think I'll probably try out the various non-gaming features of it first though, re-learning how to use a command line and such. Might even use it to make a post on this forum!

Actually, if at all possible I'll deflower my Panda by playing "Dark City".

And no, it's not a game, it's a flick.

I'll spend a few minutes/hours mapping the key config for Defender (dpad + 5 buttons, might take no time or half a day). Once it's as close to perfection as I can get I'll play it for days.

On a side note GP2X mame4all Defender is excellent :) I play red label all the time. Thanks Franxis :)

First off... wirelessly surfing the web, checking emails, maybe even through the tv - just to show off what it can do
Yup, I'm looking forward to making my GP2X feel old and unloved. After that, it's C64 & Amiga!

Games in order
1) Spyro
2) Metroid
3) QuakeII
I will also be watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy extended edition.
And lets not forget music... Pink Floyd's The Wall in lossless wavpack.

Excellent movie. Underrated, and rather unknown. Made me really appreciate Rufus Sewell as a actor.

Ontopic:

It will all depend on what software is out on the usage day. If your one of the firsts to have there's delivered, its possible that the emulators are not all ready. In that case, a few movies, mp3's, to test the movie capability / battery capability.

But, for me, if for instance the PSX emu is out, then first on the list is FF7. I've been hungering to play this one for a long time.

If the device is as good as it needs claimed to be, i might end up buying a second one ( one to always care around, and used for gaming, and one at home as a mini server ( yes, a beaglebord is also useful, but its going to be used as a low power monitor system ( running oa top ) etc. Something that does not need a huge & power hungry screen ) ).

I take back what I said earlier. i ALWAYS prefer homebrew, because i've played most emulated games I have wanted to. so whatever homebrew is available.
then, whatever stresses the pandora teh most. be it PS emu or dosbox.

I think my Pandy would cry if I deflowered it with Dark City. Something happier might be better. Something with puppies, or rabbits, yes rabbits ... Watership Down!

Back on topic I just thought of ...

Elite !

There seem to be about a million versions now (I originally played on the BBC B and ZX Spectrum) I wonder which version would be best now. Amiga version perhaps?

Must go research Elite.

Nothing happier than a bunch of dead rabbits.

I was thinking more... Sin City.

As to games, well whatever takes my fancy on the day it turns up - I tend to play games based on my moods / fads rather than I must try a specific game.

but this is more tempting.
I might go for Tie Fighter though. That was a superb game.

Double penetrating the SD slots with my SDHC cards.
I'm hoping I'll be able to watch a few .AVI movies in full resolution 720*480, fullscreen and surf the web, then maybe a few quick games with MAME.
