Craigamp - New Winamp Clone

The easiest way to generate a useable playlist is to load the songs into Winamp off of the SD and then save the playlist into the same folder so no extended path information is saved. All of my test songs are in a single directory so I don’t know if this would work with songs in multiple folders.

Here is a playlist example of a few music files I have in a ‘music’ folder on the SD:
Since the list is saved in the same folder the path information is not used. This list works with Camp and Gmu.

Which probably would not work on the GP2X.
It is most likely possible to be able to use the extended Linux (\mnt\sd\ or is it /mnt/sd) path to your songs this way, though I haven’t tried it yet.

-gp2xs

Ive tried it with '/' and '\' but i have not tried it with the mnt sd command ill try that on my lunch break

EDIT: i tested it with "/mnt/sd/" with the play list on the root of my sd card and it works, it can read my music folder and all the sub folders, thanks for the help

wow thanks, now i can bring all my descendants stuff everywhere i go! (also this is a very good alternitave t othe gp2x music player) how can i go about making schemes for this?

made a scheme (kinda) it sucks (i know) but what the hey, also how can i make it a .skin file? in the gimp i had to save it as a jpeg and when i rename it to have the .skin extension and load it in craigamp all i get is a white and greyish version of my scheme (help plz?) but this what it should look like

(sry for the dubble post!)

This is my favorite app for the gp2x so far. Keep up the good work. Is there any way to add fast forward/rewind feature???

Hi,

I'm back from Seoul, i'll get on the fixes now, thanks for making extra skins, i'll choose some to include with the new version.

Thanks,

He's weird and lacks English, he just dug up a picture and demanded that craigamp be transformed into that.

that's pretty rude. He didn't demand, he said he "hopes that craigamp looks like this in the future". How is that demanding? And attacking his english isn't very called for either. Not everybody speaks english well, or at all. :p

I'm curiouse though craig. Why is there no fast forward/rewind option? My main question is, will it be implimented in the near future? Thanks for the great program.

I am under the impression that he is the same user that posted anime pictures with the text "HOW MAKE WORK EMULATOR IS GAME!".

He get's no respect from me.

Awesome. ANNOUNCEMENT PEOPLE! If you don't speak english, even though you may be intelligent, kind, wise, athletic and a all around good person. This guy still hates you. :p

FF/RW is possible but not at the top of my list currently.

If you want it to look like the picture you may as well skin the firmware player.

At the moment i'm more interested in features and functionality. If you want to mod the current version to look like that it would not be hard, the source is avaialble on request.

New features so far:

Lockup turns the screen off after 5 seconds, start lets you see the screen for 2 seconds (only 2 seconds, you can't accidently hold it down) and the player clocks to 130mhz in lockup mode (seems to be able to play even 320bps at that speed) = around 7 hours playback.

No longer crashes if you exit with a deleted song in memory.

Remembers your playlist.

An automatic crash recovery system (if the player fails to boot it will know and next time will not attempt to load any settings).

You can edit a loaded playlist.

To add:

FF/RW, playlist creation (urgghh that is going to be interesting to code), more formats?, maybe some special effects etc. plus i'm reading all suggestions on here.

You strange person! You mean that person can receive respect from you only if he know English? Anyway I know that my English is not ideal, but why because of it you become such malicious?
Certainly I understand what not all pleasantly to see my mistakes. And i am sorry about my english!
