Do you find my signature offensive?

Does my forum signature offend you?

No, offensive to me is the bland, vacuous blather in Overgauss' sig, consisting of links to pedestrian tutorials on logic and debate, horrid text formatting, belligerent challenges to debate him, et cetera. Thankfully he hasn't been around for quite some time.

I would imagine some minority of readers would find the horse penis and anus talk offensive, though. Objectively I think if it's permissible for WizardStan to say it, it's permissible for you to quote him.

I use the mobile version of the site which removes all sigs.

Thankfully the useless spam and mental debris is out of my sight.

I second the motion to modify DaMummy. :)

Not because we need more mods, but because I don't think having mod status will change him in the slightest.

I've never seen him step out of line, but he walks the line like a tightrope master - a feat most of us are too scared to attempt.

Three cheers!

P.s. I like your sig, wish there were more like it. Pitty it's somewhat dated to us oldtimers.

I have signatures turned off in the "normal" version. I do this on all the forums I use -- who needs the clutter? To me, signatures are a visual cue that says "I'm not logged in".

So yeah, I don't care what your signature is; but then I've never seen it.

^this! this is the argument ive used at times where my signature was in question, and it's gotten the point across to some mods, like the magnificent Wally :}

"if one of the more sensible people of the community said it, and if Prometheus never mentioned being offended by it, who was not only one of the best mods this board will ever see, but a female mod, then i see no reason for my signature to receive any judgment by anyone else"

Although I could see a pragmatic argument for why something in a sig would be more sensitive than something said - since you're effectively saying it over and over again and it's much more search visible - I still think the interest of fairness the two should be held to the same standards.

Having finally checked out this sig issue, I will say you are spamming your own personal pornographic fetish into every comment you make, like dropping a turd into every mailbox on your street. And now you create a thread to celebrate your shithouse humor sig? How much respect do you think you can ever accrue this way?

Pathetic juvenile attention whoring. really

As I said before: I'm not at all offended by that horse-penis-in-anus quote, but I just don't think it's a good idea to put it in over 3000 forum posts so Google can make a really strong association between horse-penis-in-anus and the OpenPandora project. I think we should aim to get more appropriate keywords associated with this website.

Also, I do think that the Pandora is an interesting device for children (more educational potential than any closed handheld), and it would be sad to have to recommend parents not to let their children visit the Pandora forum (or find a way to hide signatures) because it is full of out-of-context horse-penis-in-anus quotes.

So no, I'm not going to apply censorship on DaMummy's signature, but I would still appreciate it if he would change it to something more mature.

The openpandora boards are already on page 2 of a Google search for H P I A. I bet that makes DaMummy giggle like a little girl.

On a brighter note, the Pandora is result #2 and #3 of a Google search for 'open gaming handheld', with the gp2x holding #1.

Sadly Pandora is not in the first page for 'retro gaming handheld' EDIT: oh it is mentioned in link #6.

Well , I am a child and you know what ? I am exposed to much , much , worse content ( of a similar nature to this topic of course ) at school . And considering what's viewable on YouTube , and a quick google search beginning with P and ending with orn , I don't think we have a problem with censorship .
