Tell Us Non-Snes Guys What The Best Of Snes Are :)

This reminds me of an idea I had for the AppStore or the Box.

The ability to say for each emu what your favourate top 5 games are.
Then it could create a top 10 list based on peoples favourate games.

And maybe a most played emu games list also for the front page, which could be based across, the top ten ratings.
To be honest I would like to know what games are recommended when I download an emu.
Lazy maybe, but I think it would be interesting also.

I just wonder if people would be willing to take a minute to fill it in though.

Sorry for the slight OT.

Hmm...almost all of the great games have been mentioned already.

So I can only add:

Super The Empire Strikes Back (best in the series)
Super Star Wars
Super Return of the Jedi
(worst but still enjoyable)

(genre: Platform/Action)

Yes, the StarWars series was great for the SNES.

Is the original SNES version of "A Link to the Past" better than the GBA re-release (I've not played either)?

I guess that sort of question is going to come up a lot given the multi platform emulation capability of the Pandora. :)
We have PSX vs GBA vs Megadrive vs SNES vs Amiga vs AtariST vs MAME vs PC (DosBox/Scumm) etc :)

For multi-platform titles, we'll have to weigh up the relative quality of the various platform versions versus the "on Pandora" quality of the emulation (which will be a moving feast).

Some sort of best emulator per title (for major games) would be very handy!

SNES was the king! I cant beleive that these are missing but then again i think i like the weird stuff.

Uniracers - Very simple but addictive racer with stunts
NBA Jam TE - OMG why has no one mentioned this, amazing amounts of drunken fun, Hes on fire!
The Lost Vikings - I know it was already mentioned but i cant recomend this enough.
Super Bomberman 1 2 and 3 - all were amazing, 2s my fav.
Battletoads - Either game, very final fight-ish but they had somany gameplay styles that every level was like oh wow.
Rock N Roll Racing - Awesome 3 quarter over head racer but also first game with a licensed soundtrack i know of on snes, classic rock.
Spiderman Maximum Carnage - crazy good beatem up.
Alien 3 - Bad ass sidescroller, kick ass in the dark, lots of guns
Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures - This is hit or miss with most but give it a try i loved this. Very cool mine cart levels.
Pitfall mayan Adventures - Surprisingly decent remake, true to orig but with actual graphics.
Wolverine Adamantium Rage - crazy good hack and slash side scroller.
Aerobiz - Run an airline strategy game, srangely addictive
Mario Paint - Endless hours of fun, drawing cartoon boobies, and the music maker was a riot. Will this work with touch screen?
Pilotwings - Mandatory play.
Rampart - So addictive, same as arcade so mame may be a better version.

Boo hoo i miss my snes now. SOOOOOOOO many good games.

Chrono Trigger -> RPG -> never played it, but everyone thinks its one of the best games ever
I really like this game. I can't explain why though. (The lack of random encounters helps, I'm sure.)

It is the only game of this style that I've ever played through to the end. In fact I've played it several times through.

I've started playing many other RPGs and I always lose interest about the two hour mark.

(Play Chrono Trigger now, and then, when you're done, you can get a Playstation emulator and play Chrono Cross.)

FAIR WARNING: This is a collaborative work from 4chan. If you don't know what that means, you may want to skip it.
That said, it's totally worth a look through, and the memes aren't as ubiquitous as they might be...

The other generation lists are pretty interesting, too.

Rock N Roll Racing is the only game I miss from SNES. Even that is way better with 2 players than 1.

The Tim Follin soundtrack alone makes it great :)

How can you not love a guy who throws all of his arms and legs at baddies?

Pretty good list considering the source.

Holy crap, I can't believe I forgot Ninja Warriors Return - what a fantastic game.

Oh, and no one mentioned Umihara Kawase?

I was just about to mention Uniracers... It's on the 4chan list... Which, IMO, is a pretty darn good list, surprisingly.

Chrono Trigger - RPG
If you're going to play one SNES RPG in your life, this is the one I'd recommend. It has a wonderful story, the best thought-out battle system in a Japanese SNES RPG, and replay value thanks to the New Game+. It really drags you into the game world by having Chrono be a "silent protagonist", putting you in his shoes so to speak.
Whatever you do, DON'T play the PSX port. It was horribly badly done, and (admittedly IMHO) totally botched the ending in order to explain some things in Chrono Cross (a sequel that I feel should have been it's own standalone game).
Actually, if you want the full Chrono Trigger story without bothering with Chrono Cross, as it's really just a glorified sidequest, just go with the DS remake.

Rock n Roll Racing - well, racing..
It was basically Super Skidmarks with a rock'n'roll soundtrack. Total awesomeness.

Yoshi's Island - platformer
IMHO much better than the GBA and DS remakes.

Donkey Kong Country - platformer
One of the best ever.

Zombies Ate My Neighbours - shoot'em up action adventure, sort of...
Just because I'm a fan of LucasArts' "original" games rather than their film franchise games.

I had Biker mice from mars racing that was pretty cool, I think it was based on rock n roll racing and dubbed rock and roll racing 2? I may be wrong on that last bit though I only had it on SNES on floppy disk.

Thinking about it its kinda funny I used to play my SNES games on THIS beast
