Gp32 Vs Psp

The PSP may have it's fancy graphics and other great things going for it, but it will cost you a fair bit for games, memory cards, etc... You buy a GP32 on the other hand, you got thousands of games to choose from, which don't cost you a penny and a cult following. There's two computers you need in your life...

1. PC :D

2. GP32 :D

nuff said!

Get a PSP!! It´s the best thing i´ve ever bought!
You can do everything with it ! : games,movies,mp3s,pictures,websites,homebrew!
And the emulators rock! NES emulator = perfect ,SNES = almost perfect!
There´s even a GBA emulator ,with his first release it´s really good!
And allot more emulators that i didn´t even try out yey :p

Buy a psp if u want good commercial games that u have to pay for. you know sony wont let it be cracked for ever other wise there goes their profits.

Now about that escort..........................................

I find it funny the amount of people that think this. Sony will never stop it being cracked.
So i wouldnt worry about that.

Either the GP32 or a Zodiac, I'd say :) .

 Z fanboiz...
I just noticed that a certain member of this forum doesn´t miss any opportunity to write negative things about a certain handheld and also keeps accusing anyone who mentions this console (in a not- negative way) to be a fanboy...

I wonder how this behaviour is called... must be related to some traumatic experience...

What i want to say is that DaveC obviously can´t accept other people´s opinions. Most intelligent mature people have realised that opinions differ from person to person since different persons have made different experiences and have different ways to handle those experiences. Thus they accept that their own opinion has no entitlement for being a ultimate truth. Because if it were, that would mean that the opinions of all other humans would be wrong, and assuming that would be just arrogant.
Opinions are only valid for the humans that develop them, not for any other person (though, of course knowing somebody´s opinion is often helpfull).

That´s why some people think in a different way than you about such things as the Zodiac. Your own opinion about the Zodiac is 100% true and valid- but only for yourself.
Therefor you shouldn´t express it by accusing and offending people. They have, in the most cases, good reasons to think different than you, so you don´t have the right to assume that your thoughts about something are in any way superior to those of every other human - provided you would have the same level of objetive knowledge.

all handshelds are nice in my opinion.

i wouldnt buy a zodiac myself because its too expensive. and i am going to buy the gizmondo when it gets avaible here.
De Gizmondo is niets vergelijken met de PSP, ik zweer het het is echt de beste Multimedia/Game handheld die er is (op dit moment :p )

Translation = The Gizmonde is nothing compared to the PSP, I swear the PSP is the best Multimedia/Game handeld there is (at this moment :p )

When you said this, have you considered that the video playback of the PSP is rather poor? Maximum resolution is only 320x240, while many recent PDA´s offer much more, plus the video formats you can use are quite restricted in comparison to those supported by PDAs.

with the current state of emulation and overall abilities of the PSP, i'm wondering why anybody now will still consider the GP32. It's only a matter of time before the PSP passes up the GP32 in emulation so the only thing the GP32 will have over the PSP is homebrew, and that will probably passed up when people start using the PSPs hardware a little better.

The GP32 has a large range of Emulators, from old computers to SNES, emulation wise that is the only thing the GP32 has over the PSP, but like i said, it's only a matter of time.

GP32 has 0 commercial support compared to PSP, its way less powerful, and given the numbers, the amount of PSPs sold to the amount of GP32s, the scene for PSP will undoubtedly be much larger.

if movies can be encoded to look like the UMD movies then there's no way a PDA cold have better video playback, if not then maybe, but those UMD movies look damn good on that screen.

the psp is the best handheld in youre opinion. not in real life. in real life, the gizmondo's hardware are better then the psp.

no offensive. i am just being real.

Maybe, but video gaming history is littered with powerful consoles which haven't been taken up buy us gamers! And with more devs for the PSP, we will see better games.

I've been on the Giz site, and the quality of the games just don't look that good, imo. So that power just doesn't seem to be being used!

That's just how it is.

microsoft supports the gizmondo (with mechassault, aoe, etc)

and i heard that halo might be availble for it. so there is one real killer app avaible.

i just hope they use the power of the gizmondo.

You left out one important statistic: *2.8"* TFT screen ~ 240 x 320 pixels.

Much smaller than either the GP32 or PSP.

portable gaming systems should not be limited to the size of their screen, just because the PSP has a 4.1" screen doesn't mean that the Giz is crap. Portable systems are supposed to be portable. GBA has the same size screen and millions of people bought them, not because of the screen, but because of the games. The screen should not be an issue as long as the Giz has the games and apps.

yeh it will be cracked but with every new crack sony will make u upgrade the firmware to play the new games. think of a hole in the wall then sony fills it then a new hole starts some ware else and it will be only a matter of time before sony finds that one. sonys going to do all they can to stop it so they dont lose cash.
