Slackware for Pandora 14.0

Hmm, lsusb is not in /sbin/ but /usr/bin/

But otherwise I get: unable to initialize libusb: -99
Ok, so sudo

/sbin/iwlist

to make sure sudo is properly working.

Thank you Linux-SWAT for providing slackware on the pandora.  I got my pandora today, put slackware on and it is running beautifully.

You're welcome :^).

Works fine. I get the 'Usage:' output for iwlist. But this also happens when I don't sudo ;)

(I can also '/sbin/iwlist scan' without sudo, so I don't think this is reliable to check if sudo works :p )

And then? Still can't use the scripts from the GUI.

Was just to make sure sudo was ok.

Now, use xdg-open on /usr/share/applications/something_from_pnd.desktop

I get the same popup with 'Mounting the PND failed. The application wont start. Please have a look at /tmp/<script>.out'
For instance with the lcdsettings:

$ cat /tmp/pndrun_op_lcdsettings.out

PND             : /usr/pandora/apps/op_lcdsettings.pnd
PND_FSTYPE      : Squashfs

APPDD_FSTYPE    : auto
PND_CPUSPEED    : <unset>
EXENAME         : op_lcdsettings.sh

I would suggest you to reinstall SL4P, without changing the hostname (at first), then test.

Can't tell what's happening there...

Is your SD card Ext2-compatible ?

I don't see why not. It's a kingston 16Gb.

Will try a re-install then :/

(But damnit, I want my own hostname!!!!)

I am trying to make the "B" button in the x-y-a-b set map to "Tab".  I have put

keycode 115 = Tab End Tab End
in the ~/.pndXmodmap file.  Not sure this is what slackware uses for the keyboard, as it did not seem to change anything.  Reboot had no effect.

Tried xkbset m and xkbset exp m also.

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT:  solved

I don't know for sure what did it, tried quite a few things.  The last things I did before it started to work were to copy ~/.pndXmodmap to ~/.Xmodmap with the above line in the file, and to remove a comment that was right before the "keycode 115 . . ." line.

I think i left .pndXmodmap for compatibility reasons, but the one used by Slack is indeed .Xmodmap .

Glad you could make it.

I can confirm this error. After changing hostname via netconfig, i get the same errors while trying to launch a PND. Same after a new installation, every PND is working, but after the change of the hostname, same error again.

By the way: Great job Linux-SWAT! Thanks a lot for your work.

For me I followed this guide too, but perhaps my former musings with sysctl messed things up already?

Btw, I used sed to change the sudoers file: ~$ sudo sed -i 's/darkstar/<newhostname>/g' /etc/sudoers

Somehow I'm reluctant to change it again since I don't want to re-install it yet again

Hello
I'm traing boot SL4P from 3 days with wiki and I can't do this. I was doing this 5 times and nothing help.
My Pandora is 1GHz with Linux Release 1.53, SD card is Samsung 16GB, ext2 and swap.
What can I do?

So ext2 or ext4 as in the PM ?

Which step is failing ?
