[Rebirth Competition] Slackware for Pandora 13.37 release thread.

Hi Linux Swat,

I decided to give a shot to SL4p . I formated ,under my favorite distro linux mint, an 8 GB sd card with 500 MB swap and 7.5 GB ext2. I then extracted the archive successfully. The problem is does not boot. and holding the right should button does not give me any choice .

Could you put me back on the track ?

Thanks,

David

Which archive did you downloaded ? Be sure to have the latest:

SL4P-13.37-3.tar.bz2

or

SL4P-current-4.tar.bz2

Glad you could make it ^^.

So you installed directly on the OP ?

Can you tell me exactly what was the config ? One or two SD card ? USB key ? On which one did you downloaded the rootfs, etc..

It's for the Wiki ^^.

I'm uploading the -current-5, with the brand new KDE 4.8.2 exceptionally shipped in it.

Upload should be finished in around 4 hours.

I noticed that some options are greyed in the now-embedded network manager. To re-enable them, edit /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf and in the [main] section, add this line:

managed=true

Then reboot.

I'll add that in the next release.

I informed the ARMedslack maintainer about OP and this port. Look at the bottom of this page:

This is indeed very cool

My powe rsupply decided to die, and as my battery is @ 0% i cant charge the pandora over the USB.

LSwat , did you say webmin was in the current release ? i could not access it /

Also, I tried WireShark and , oh boy, this looks just like the geekyest thing ever!! . I wish the Pandora had a NIC

Any news from the USB installer?

Or have you already uploaded one I didn't notice :D ?

No progress here.

I'm still wondering how to avoid erasing the wrong SD card by mistake :/.
